Budionovka hat

This hat  is a replica of the Red Army hat which was accepted in 1919. After Russian revolution in 1917 old Tsar  Army uniform with signs and symbols was abolished though it was impossible to create and produce in poor young country uniform for newly organized Red Army. So old uniform was used, this uniform was created and designed by famous Russian artist Viktor Vasnetsov. This uniform was intended for future parade in Berlin.  The hat  imitates helmet of old Russian worriers. In Red Army this hat got its name after the famous Soviet bolshevik military leader Semion  Budionniy. This is universal hat, in warm weather it is folded in compact form, in cold weather flaps are down.
