Russian dolls

Here is a collection of Russian hand-made dolls in traditional national costumes. Heads and hands of dolls are made of porcelain and hand painted. These dolls are dressed in national costumes which reflect traditions of specific regions of old Russia. Each dress of the dolls are made with much skill and patience, each part of costumes are created in details and with ethnographic accuracy. It is superb executed not only the outer clothing, but also headdresses, are recreated characteristic kinds of hair dresses. Main part of the Russian dolls are from St.Petersburg art studio "Amusing Craft" ("Poteshniy Promisel"). This is about 200 years as St. Petersburg tradition of doll making exists and it is still alive.
