Sergiev Posad burnt nesting doll

Sergiev Posad as it is known is a center of different Russian people crafts and especially of nesting dolls.This doll is made in technique of poker work (burnt) when an artist uses a hot metal needle and burn picture as if he/she uses regular brush The doll is decorated with "gold" foil and with bright water color paint. No lacquer is used so no specific odor except smell of natural wood (lime-tree) and a little bit small of burnt wood.
