Russian hospitality

There is an old Russian tradition - when they want to show a respect to a person they meet him/her with salt and bread. The person should take salt and bread or take some bread andput it into salt and eat to show that he/she accept hospitality and good will of hosts. Then guest are treated with tea, cakes (priory) and other delicious food.
