Mother-of-pearl flower painting brooches

These flower painting brooches are painted on mother-of-pearl base that makes the brooches to look festive and colorful. Special transparent paints do not hide rich structure of natural mother-of-pearl that is used for brooches. A piece of mother-of-pearl is framed into metal base made of special alloy so called German silver (not real silver, just alloy of cupper, nickel and zinc). This metal looks like silver but it is not silver (sometimes silver is used but such brooches are quite expensive as silver in Russia is expensive metal. On back side of a brooch safe pin is fixed.
