Birch-tree forest

This brooch has dimensions 5x3cm/2x11/3". It was painted in traditions of famous lacquer miniature Fedoskino school. The brooch was painted on mother-of-pearl base. The piece of mother-of-pearl shell is framed into metal and it has a pin on back side to clip a brooch to cloth. The brooches was painted by oil paints (in accordance with Fedoskino school traditions) and then well finished with glossy lacquer. It look very festive and intricate as some parts of mother-of-pearl base appear through painting.
