The Russian Crafts site offers a wide selection of Russian gifts, souvenirs and other goods. The site has been arranged in 1996 and in the beginning was located in a sub-domain zone, then in 1999 it registered own domain name russian-crafts.com . The company is sole proprietary, it locates in St.Petersburg, Russia.

The founder and owner of the company is Michael Terletski. He started his activity in business of Russian crafts, souvenirs and gifts in early 1990s. That was not easy time - the USSR did not exist any more, the new Russia was in the very beginning of its way. On other hand the "iron curtain" has just been destroyed and many people all over the world wanted to get to know more about Russia, about its culture, folk art, traditions. So that was naturally that when the Internet became more or less available in Russia to make a site dedicated to Russian folk art, tales, crafts. With time some products of Russian artisans and crafters were added. That was the first site in Russia of this kind and it attracted many visitors.

Michael Terletski collected from different sources translations of most poplar Russian folk tales . As well he wrote articles dedicated to Russian traditions , history of Russian crafts , collected some most popular cooking recipes of Russian dishes.

The main task of the site was and is to tell people from other countries more about Russian culture, traditions, folklore and to offer most popular Russian craft products for sale firsthand. All goods are sent to customers directly from Russia. Though it takes longer to deliver goods to other countries but all goods are available at stock and are sent without delay. All goods are produced int Russia.
